Tour Du Mont Blanc (TMB) 2003

| 4 Kommentare
In mid 2003 I walked the Tour Du Mont Blanc (TMB) through France, Italy and Swiss around the Massif Du Mont Blanc. It was the best (and also the exhausting) tour I had made yet and the views were amazing! I had never seen such beautiful and spectacular nature before.

[Update] I walked the tour again in 2007 and wrote a nice weblog entry about this. It's in german though. Please click here to get to this article.

Click here to download GPS Waypoints as Mapsource 5 and ASCII export file.

Please click on the below map icon to see a rough map of the tour.

Hi Andi,

you can camp almost everywhere, except in the national park areas, where you are only allowed to biwack next to the refuges. We put our tent most of the time next to the refuges and used the showers for a few euros.

hi there,
Wonder if you will still get this message..
When you camped, did you do so privately? I have heard that you must seek permission/it is not allowed in certain areas.
Im planning on going on my own, just me and my tent. Hope you can help!

cheers

andi

Hi Ross,

I've added my TMB GPS waypoints. Click on the link above and you will get a ZIP file containing a Mapsource 5 and ASCII export file.

Have fun! :)

We are going to do the Tour of Mont Blanc soon. Do you have your GPS Track data still? If so maybe we can upload it and already have the route in our GPS.
